Mango Pudding is a classic dessert in Hong Kong. It's commonly found in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand as well. You can usually see it on dessert menus at dim sum restaurants!

What is mango pudding made of?
Mango pudding is made with only 5 ingredients! It's also super easy to make (you'll just need a blender), so this is a nice dessert to make if you're short on time.

- Gelatin
- Sugar
- Evaporated milk
- Cold water
Can I make it without gelatin?
Yes, you can use agar-agar which is a vegan alternative. However, the mango pudding won't be as wobbly in texture.
Can I use frozen or canned mangoes?
Yes, frozen mangoes work great in a pinch. Just make sure to blend them. Canned mangoes are fine too. However, using FRESH mangoes is best because it has the most juicy and fragrant flavour.

Can I use other fruits?
Yes, you can. I suggest using guava, honeydew, peach, or strawberries! However, don't use kiwi or pineapple since they have enzymes that stop gelatin from gelling.
What vegan alternatives can I use for the milk?
Coconut milk is great for adding creaminess and giving a yummy tropical flavour when paired with mangoes. You can also use any plant milk, like almond milk or oat milk.

How do I store mango pudding?
Cover it with saran wrap in the fridge for up to 3 days. It needs to be covered or else the pudding will form a dry skin on top. Reserve some fresh mango chunks and evaporated milk to drizzle on when serving.
How to serve mango pudding?
- Drizzle with some evaporated milk (or sweetened condensed milk) for an extra creamy touch
- Add fresh mango chunks on top for a pop of freshness
- Use a sprig of mint to garnish
- Dollop with some fluffy whipped cream and chocolate drizzle for a mango-chocolate flavour

Mango Pudding Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon gelatin powder
- ¼ cup cold water
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup mangoes pureed
- ¼ cup white sugar
To Serve
- evaporated milk, fresh mango chunks, mint sprig
Instructions
- Bloom the gelatin. Mix gelatin with ¼ cup water and let sit for 5 minutes.
- Heat milk up on medium-high heat until it's HOT and almost boiling, but don't let it boil fully. Scoop bloomed gelatin and whisk rapdily into the cream.
- Add mango puree and sugar. Whisk to remove any chunks.
- Pour into containers. Let set in fridge for 3 hours. Serve with fresh mangoes, mint, and extra evaporated milk.
