What is the most popular soda in Vietnam?
Soda chanh is the most popular soda in Vietnam! It's a refreshing, well-loved beverage for hot summer days. It's a bubbly version of the famous Vietnamese Limeade.
What is Soda Chanh?
Soda chanh is basically a sparkling limemade. It's tangy, sweet, sour, and fizzy! A delightful contrast of flavours that's anything but boring.
Ingredients to make soda chanh
Soda chanh requires very few ingredients. You probably have all of these at home!
- FRESH limes
- White sugar
- Sparkling water
- Ice cubes
- Optional: mint leaves
How to squeeze juice out of hard limes
Ever try to squeeze lime wedges and nothing comes out? That's because the limes are too dry or the fruit is too firm. There's a way to hack this though!
Gently roll and massage the limes on a table before slicing into it. This forces the pulp to break and release juices internally. You can physically feel the juices coming out as you roll the limes. Be sure to be gentle since you don't want the lime to burst. When you feel the lime has softened enough, cut the lime into wedges.
Sometimes the lime needs some help!
Tips to make soda chanh
